Chapter 3 - Altering Destiny

Loki manipulated the strings of fate and found that he could reincarnate as anyone he wished. However, who did he know that was not from Asgard or the Nine Realms?

After experimenting, he found that he kept reincarnating as a god but in different realms and pantheons, living their lives but retaining his experiences.

He lived three times as a member of the Greek pantheon in Mount Olympus.

The first time as the goddess Laverna, the goddess of thieves and charlatans. He lived through her full life, experiencing her whole existence, and enjoying the peace.

The second time, he lived as Mercury, the God of speed, but also of commerce and cunning, which was closer to what Loki viewed himself.

The third time he reincarnated as Circe, the Goddess of Magic.

As each of them, he lived their lives as if he were them. But in the meantime, he accumulated their godly abilities and knowledge. Each lifetime was spent mastering new abilities.

He liked being in the Greek Pantheon of Gods. In Asgard, he was primarily a thinker, while the majority of Asgardians were brainless brutes, so he was always an outcast.

But in Olympus, he wasn’t reviled as much for being a thinker, and in fact brutes like Hercules were looked down more than him. He thought Hercules would fit better in Asgard than in Olympus.

However, regardless of being in a different Pantheon, he seemed to be a catalyst of chaos, somehow being a god of mischief or mayhem of some sort. He was always a trickster deity.

And there was always a force that seemed to be following him around, no matter which life he lived. None of the other Gods sensed it, but perhaps because of his knowledge of destiny from the Norns, he felt it clearly.

He had secretly visited the Fates, who were like the Norns here in Olympus, but even after absorbing their knowledge in secret, he could not find the cause of his unease.

At the end of his third life as Circe, he decided to try to live another life and altered the strings of karma again.

The next life he lived was as Morgan Le Fey, half-faerie half-sister of the mythical King Arthur. She learned magic under Merlin himself, gaining another perspective on magic and becoming an immortal in her own right, even surpassing Merlin in magical ability. This was no surprise considering she had also the knowledge and abilities of Loki and Circe.

Somehow, again he/she was eventually blamed for the fall of Camelot. In this incarnation, he started feeling a sense of unease, as if he was being hunted. So he decided it was the best time to leave for another life. Sighing, he jumped lives again.

He lived the life of Isis, the Egyptian Goddess of the Nile, who was also known to shapeshift and play tricks. However, one time being a Egyptian God was enough for him. After learning their magics and godly knowledge, the unease grew stronger and he decided to change his reincarnation again.

His next life, he lived as Son Wukong, the Chinese Monkey God, where the discomfort was the strongest he has ever felt. Although, like the Gods of Olympus, he liked this Pantheon, the feeling of unease caused him to run again.

He lived his next life Hanuman of the Indian Pantheon of Gods. But this time, he didn’t manage to finish his life. During one of Hanuman’s legendary missions, he was attacked.

Time stopped still and dark clouds suddenly covered the sky. The clouds parted to reveal several humanoid men and women sitting on thrones looking down on him.

“Loki, son of Laufey. You have been found guilty of tampering with destiny and the fates” boomed a voice from one of the shadows looking down on him.

“How dare you? Tampering with destiny? Are we your playthings?” asked Loki in defiance, looking up arrogantly to the sky.

“Although you may have usurped the knowledge of the Norns, you will not escape your fate” said a female member in the shadows.

She lifted her hand and a spell was cast in his direction.

Loki was hit, but as he faded from existence, he snorted and waved his hand dispelling the spell. It was the same spell Skuld cast at him before.

“Your punishments mean nothing to me. I am beyond you now” he said defiantly.

“Little godling, you may have some skill. But once we are done with you, you will rejoin your Asgardian brothers in your fate” said another male voice as they all lifted their hands and several different spells were cast at him at the same time.

At this very moment, watching the different spells, Loki’s eyes were enlightened. They were the lords of destiny. And the spells they cast were binding spells of fate and karma.

Now he could see a thread linking his soul to one of them, which he assumed had something to do with the Asgardian Gods.

He looked at his thread and it was entangled with several other strings. Looking deeply, he recognized them as the other lives he lived besides being Loki. The lives of Laverna, Hermes, Circe, Morgan Le Fey, Isis, Son Wukong and Hanuman.

He grabbed out at the many spells that now looked like threads shooting at him and he cut his own string, separating him from being Loki.

Simultaneously, he reached out at the threads aimed at him and tangled them all in a knot, together with his original thread, it was a complete mess.

The Lords of Destiny screamed as their spells effected each other and Loki’s soul jumped out of Hanuman’s body and grabbed on to one of the threads and disappeared.

The Lords of Destiny recovered and looked at each other.

“Whose spell did he reverse and ride on?” one of the shadows asked.

“I don’t know. He cut his destiny to his old life. How are we to find him?” asked another.

“He is truly lost to us now. Who knows what damage he will do in his new life” said another.

“No, he cut his strings to his godly life. He would lose all his godly abilities. Furthermore, in each reincarnation, a soul would lose all their memories. So even if he escaped, he will be a mere mortal, living a mere mortal’s life” said the female voice.

“How badly damaged are we?” asked the first voice.

“Some of us are badly effected by Loki using our spells against us. The wheels of reincarnation will not spin in some of our realms for a while” said the female voice.

Little did they know that Loki’s first death in Mimir protected his memories from the effects of reincarnation.

------------------------------

Loki found himself floating in nothingness. In a distance, he could see several different lands all with a similar sight.

On the nearest floating land was a long line of souls, walking in a line. There were an infinite number of lines and an infinite number of portals the lines were going into.

Unlike himself, who was floating in space looking at them, the other souls walked around in a daze, unaware of anything going on around them.

He propelled himself to the nearest land and hid behind some rocks.

Suddenly, the line stopped moving. The administrators seemed to be panicking.

“Whats happening?” asked one administrator.

“We don’t know. But our Lord has been injured and all the realms will have to close until he recovers” said another.

“That’s probably my fault” thought Loki to himself. He looked at the nearest portal and made a dash for it.

“What are you… stop!” yelled the administrator. But Loki jumped up and kicked him in the face as he grabbed several souls and pulled them in with him into the closing portal.

“No!! Who was that? Whats going on?” yelled the administrator.

But by then, Loki was gone.

Chapter 2 - Threads of Destiny

Loki's spirit drifted endlessly. He could not feel his body. The damage from the huge fall no longer bothered him. He was a spirit floating in endless space.

His mind went back to the chain of events that led to Ragnarok. He remembered how his step-brother Baldur, the God of Light, was blessed with invulnerability.

Being a typical brainless brute, like most Asgardians typically were, naturally Baldur boasted and bragged about his invulnerability.

As a party trick, he used to have everyone attack him with weapons and throw spears and shoot arrows at him while he shows off and poses.

One day, Loki passed a spear to Hod, the blind God of Winter, who was also Baldur's twin brother. However, unknown to everyone, Baldur was actually vulnerable only to mistletoe, and it happened that the spear was resting on some mistletoe by the wall.

Everyone was laughing as Baldur taunted Hod for his blindness. Unknown to everyone, when Hod grabbed the spear, it had a bit of mistletoe on it. Hod's throw pierced Baldur right through the heart instantly killing him.

In anger, Vali the God of Vengeance killed Hod. As Hod was dead, everybody blamed Loki for Baldur and Hod's deaths.

There were rumors that Baldur could have been revived if every being cried a tear for Baldur, who was supposedly so universally loved. But apparently, an old hag decided not to cry for Baldur, and thus Baldur was not revived.

Again, Loki was blamed for some old hag not crying for Baldur. Some even accused Loki of transforming to the hag to ensure Baldur's death. Alternatively, some blamed him for not forcing his daughter Hela, the Goddess of Death, to allow the resurrection of Baldur.

All this led to Loki's imprisonment and torture by the Asgardians.

"So much for the so called justice of Asgard" thought Loki as he drifted in space. "No matter my heroic deeds saving Asgard, or my many adventures with me half-brother Thor, I was always treated as an outsider because I was not born of Asgardian blood" he concluded.

Loki was actually the son of the Giant King Farbouti of Jottunheim. But because Odin killed him in battle, he took Loki in and adopted him as a son.

But although Odin adopted him, he was always treated unfairly and viewed suspiciously, and blamed for all wrongs that occur in Asgard. This prejudice is something he has experienced all his life, but this time it went too far.

Loki then sighed. "I'm dead anyhow, I wonder why Hela hasn't claimed me yet?" thought Loki.

Then suddenly, a bright light pierced his eyelids. "I still have my eyes?" a surprised Loki thought as he opened his eyes.

He looked around and found himself at a feast surrounded by the familiar Asgardians.

His nephew Thor laughed out loud while he slapped Loki on his back.

Wait…. Nephew? Wasn’t Thor his step-brother? Loki thought to himself and suddenly realized his memories were a bit different now. It was as if his memories had been altered.

Odin was now his step-brother here, making Thor his step-nephew.

He looked in amazement and noticed a handsome god in the middle of the hall, laughing and showing off, getting the other gods to throw weapons at him.

It was Baldur! He wasn’t dead.

“Uncle! Why don’t you throw a weapon at me?” he asked while he bared his ass at Loki.

Loki was stunned. He is able to live through this again? Even among Asgardian Gods, raising the dead wasn't something simple. He waved his hands declining the chance.

“Come on! Don’t be a wet blanket” said Tyr the God of War as he took a spear and placed it in Loki’s hand.

Loki pushed it away, not wanting to get involved.

“Coward” said Tyr as he took the spear back and threw it at Hod, the blind god.

“Hahaha. How can my brother hit me? He’s blind” taunted Baldur.

Hod got angry and threw the spear at the direction of Baldur’s voice.

To everyone’s shock, the spear pierced Baldur’s chest and heart, and went straight through his body. He collapsed and died instantly with his eyes open.

“Baldur!” yelled Vali the God of Vengeance as he jumped up and chopped off Hod’s head in anger.

The whole hall was in an uproar and it didn’t take long before fingers were pointed at Loki

“It was him! He must have done something to the spear to kill Baldur!” yelled Vali.

“Yeah, and he framed poor blind Hod to kill Baldur too! We’ve suffered the deaths of two excellent Gods to this outsider” shouted Tyr.

“Wait… you passed the spear to me. I wanted no part of it” yelled Loki in outrage looking at Tyr.

“As if we’ll trust the word of an outsider over our ever loyal Tyr” yelled another God nearby.

The crowd started to form a mob and Loki didn’t hesitate and bolted out the door.

“Coward!” yelled Thor as his hammer Mjolnir smashed through the large door and narrowly missed the fleeing Loki.

“Fuck. Why is this happening again?” he thought.

In his previous life, he hid in one of his hideouts in Asgard before being captured and bound by his son’s entrails to be tortured.

However, this time, he felt a sense of deja vue and instead fled down the Rainbow Bridge in the opposite direction.

After hiding a few days, he realized that he was near Doomstead, where the Norns weaved the threads of destiny.

"Destiny? Did they have something to do with this?" thought Loki to himself as he wondered towards Doomstead.

The Norns were not beings regular gods dared to approach easily. They had the power to change destiny, or even erase someone from existence.

Loki was not a stupid God. He cast a spell on himself, making him invisible and crept into the domain of the Norns.

As he approached, the three sisters, Urd, Verdandi and Skuld looked around, suspecting something was amiss.

“Do you sense that sister?” asked Urd.

“Yes… someone who is not supposed to be here” said Verdandi

“Show yourself” yelled Skuld as they gestured and Loki’s spell dissipated.

“You should not be here. What do you seek?” they asked in unison as they looked at Loki in shock.

“Is my destiny to start Ragnarok? Why does my life cause Ragnarok over and over again?” he asked.

The Norns were stunned. There was nothing they shouldn’t know about, but how did Loki know this?

“Impossible. That knowledge is forbidden to ones such as you. Begone from here” they said in fear.

Loki charged through them before they could stop him, and looked into the enormous loom that was spinning millions of strings of fate into a tapestry.

Instantly Loki could see the entirety of the Asgardian existence. It was an infinite loop!

As the strands combine to become a large tapestry, the story of the Asgardians were told, and at Ragnarok, they are separated into individual strands of fate again before recombining all over again.

“What a futile existence!” thought Loki. The only reason he realized he lived over and over again, albeit in slightly different circumstances, was because in the last Ragnarok, he fell into Mimir.

“WHY?” Loki shouted. “Why am I always the scapegoat? Why am I always blamed?” asked Loki.

“Because you are Loki. There is always a need for an antagonist for the protagonists in every story.” Answered Urd with a sneer.

“The story of the Nine Realms is the story of the heroic Asgardian gods, not of a lowly half breed giant like you!” added Verdandi.

“You should be glad you even have a part to play in the tale, a major part in fact” said Skuld, the prettiest and youngest of the three norns.

“Bitches” said Loki with a cold glare and walked towards them and drew his sword.

“What are you doing? No one dares attack the Norns, lest their destinies be cut short” warned Urd, the oldest of the three.

“My destiny cut? Do you think I care? Am I not the eternal evil, the scapegoat for everything anyway?” sneered Loki as he lifted drew is sword.

With a simple movement, he chopped off Urd’s head, her eyes stared at him in disbelief as her head flew in the air.

“You! I will cut off your destiny” yelled Verdandi

“Cut off my destiny?” sneered Loki. He swung his sword arm and cut his sword through Verdandi’s body, slicing her into two. Her body dissected from her neck to the waist on the opposite side and fell to the floor in two pieces.

Skuld attacked Loki with her sword. She was quite gifted as she was also a Valkyrie. Loki blocked her and easily disarmed her.

After all, although she was a well trained Valkyrie, Loki was a major character in Asgard, and had gone on multiple military missions with Odin and Thor and was even the hero of Asgard many times.

She lunged at him again, but he pinned her down and stared at her.

“What…. What are you going to do with me?” she asked.

“Me? I am going to have my way with you, then I am going to change my destiny” he said with a evil smile.

“You can’t do that. The loom is eternal, your destiny cannot be changed. You will bring the end of the Asgardians and the Nine Realms” she said in shock.

“Better that then live an endless loop of futility” he said as he pinned her to a wall and held her forehead with his hand.

With a forbidden spell, he started absorbing Skuld's knowledge and memories. Her eyes rolled up in her head as her mouth gaped open and started drooling. Loki was not merciful at all as he cruelly ravaged her mind.

As he finally sucked her memories dry, he threw her aside. Having absorbed her knowledge of destiny and the ties of destiny, he didn’t need her any more.

He walked over to the other two Norns and picked up Urd’s head with one hand and grabbed Verdandi’s top half of her body by her head with his other hand.

Both were still alive, but badly wounded. They were immortal and could not really die so easily. But both were helpless

Using the same forbidden spell, he absorbed both of their knowledge and abilities leaving them braindead like Skuld.

This spell was strictly forbidden in Asgard. A God using such spells to rob other Gods of their abilities and knowledge would be hunted down by all the Gods of Asgard.

But what did Loki care about that now?

His eyes glowed a bright yellow light as he gained enlightenment. Not only does he have the full knowledge of Mimir, which surpassed even Odin, he now had the combined knowledge and power of fate, karma and destiny of the  Nords that even Odin feared.

He walked over to the loom and touched the threads, his vision now encompassing the whole tapestry.

Suddenly, the area started shaking and a rip opened in the sky above him, forming a tear in space and revealing a group of people sitting on thrones in the shadows looking down on him.

Loki looked up to them in fear, realizing that each one of them were at the very least as powerful as Odin himself.

"Loki son of Farbouti, you have attacked your keepers of destiny and gained forbidden knowledge. You are banished from existance" said one of the male figures in the shadows as he pointed his finger at Loki and a beam of azure light shot at Loki's body.

Loki looked in shock and pain as he felt his soul being ripped apart and disintegrating.

"No, fuck you! I will not die like this. If I die, everything dies" he said as he threw his sword at the loom of destiny.

The tightly bound threads were sliced as threads flew everywhere and tangled up. The sword landed on the base of the loom after slicing through the threads and caused the whole loom to break apart.

"NO!" yelled the voices as the threads flew everywhere. Loki's soul that was being torn apart, dove into the loom as their threads tangled and went everywhere. .

The figures quickly abandoned this Asgard as the dimension collapsed in chaos. In the dimension where the figures in the shadows were, they looked at each other grimly before one of them finally spoke up.

"What will happen now? Asgard has been ruined" said one of the voices.

"Restore Asgard and the loop of Ragnarok. As for Loki, unless he reveals himself, his soul is lost to us in the other dimensions. Most likely, he would resurface as a god of similar abilities or roles" he said.

"You mean a god of mischief, evil or even god of magic? That could mean quite a few of the major gods in many of the myriad of pantheons. We can't get rid of them all!" said another figure in shock.

The first figure nodded. "Unless he reveals himself, we will never know. It might very well be he may have forgotten his identity as Loki, and indeed become the other god or goddesses, never ever revealing himself." he answered again.

"But that doesn't mean we give up. The moment he revive himself, we must eliminate him." said another being in the shadows as the rest agreed

They all looked at each other with concern and worry. But there was nothing they could do about it but wait and search for Loki's soul.

Chapter 1 - Ragnarok

Apathy. As Loki lay bound by his son Nari’s entrails, with a serpent dripping poison on his face, scarring whatever was left of a once handsome face, he felt nothing.

Sigyn, Loki’s wife was allowed as part of this cruel punishment to hold a bowl on top of Loki’s head to stop the venom from burning his face. However, every time the bowl fills up, she has to go and empty the bowl before doing so again. In the meantime, his face would burn from the venom.

She was only allowed to do that, and not allowed to block the venom with anything else. This tortured not only Loki, but Sigyn as well, as she had to endure an endless sleepless existence holding and emptying a bowl to save her husband from torture.

At this stage he didn’t care anymore about the sequence of events that lead up to this point. The Asgardians had gone too far, even killing his son Nari and using his entrails to bind him.

Not long ago, he felt rage at the absurdity of it all happening like this. But now that the end is upon them all, he felt that his undeserved cruel punishment upon Asgard was justly brought upon those cruel Asgardians.

The Asgardians were preparing for war as three of the nine realms gathered their forces to destroy Asgard.

Why? Because Odin the All-Father had declared that Loki was to be executed for the murder of Baldr, the favored son of Odin.

In response, both his sons Jormungandr the World Serpent and Fenrir the Wolf have gathered the giants of Jotun against Asgard in revenge, with his daughter Hela, the Goddess of Death, and her undead forces of Helheim following behind them.

The forces gathered around Asgard for days, their marching causing small tremors all around Asgard, causing the Gods of Asgard to tremble in anticipation.

Suddenly a loud horn sounded. Although it was the sound of a horn, it was also a sound unlike anything else anyone has ever heard before. It really sounded like a horn that was to herald the end of everything.

“Gjallar!” yelled one of the guards and they all abandoned their posts and started running out of the building with their arms drawn, leaving only two guards to guard Loki.

Gjallar was the famous horn of Heimdall, the guardian of the Golden Bridge. And the horn being blown signified Ragnarok, the foretold end of the world for the Norse Gods.

As Sigyn tried her best to block the dripping venom from landing on his face with a bowl, a sudden large tremor caused the venom to spill on her hands, burning her and causing her to scream in pain.

The whole jail chamber was left in tatters by the earthquake, the door busted open and a the serpent was smashed and trapped by a large piece of the roof.

Sigyn lay on the floor in a daze as the venom badly burned her hands. She got up trembling and looking around, still absent mindedly holding the bowl with the venom in it.

“Quickly. Pour the venom on my bindings” Loki ordered as the guards around the place were distracted.

Sigyn quickly followed his instructions and although it burned his hands and feet, the venom burned off the entrails that were binding him in place.

He grabbed her hand and started running out of the place, saving some venom and splashing a portion on the two remaining guard’s faces, blinding them and letting him escape.

“What are you going to do? Your sons are attacking Asgard to free you. Are you going to help them? Or stop them?” Sigyn asked.

Suddenly there was another large earthquake, followed by incredibly loud lightning strikes all around followed by loud uniform yells “For Asgard!” by a multitude of Asgardians.

“It’s the Trickster. He’s escaping” yelled one of the Gods as Loki and Sigyn ran out of the building.

Trickster? In his life, Loki has done many things, both for the good of Asgard, and otherwise. He has been described as the God of Mischief, the God of Change, some have even called him the God of Hope, considering how many times he has rescued Asgard and gotten the Gods and Goddesses out of trouble.

“What will they call me next I wonder? Apparently, they blame everything on me” he cursed to himself.

“Kill the God of Evil! This is all his fault” another voice yelled in his direction.

“Fuck me. They call me the God of Evil now?” Loki thought as he ran between buildings still holding Sigyn’s hand.

He looked in the sky and watched Thor fly towards a gigantic serpent-like creature, it’s head was larger than the whole city of Asgard.

“Jormungandr!” he thought has he watched his son the World Serpent battle Thor the God of Thunder, and his half-brother.

As he rushed halfway over the Bifrost the Rainbow Bridge, he saw Heimdall, Guardian of the Rainbow Bridge, blocking his path.

This brought about a roar from all sides, from Asgard as well as all the enemies of Asgard surrounding it as they simultaneously attacked. Heimdall then drew a huge broadsword and charged at Loki.

Loki threw a small portion of venom at Heimdall's face which he saved from the serpent that tortured him. Heimdall screamed in pain as his face was covered with the strong venom.

Heimdall’s unmatched eyesight, hearing, smell and taste were what gave him the position as the Guardian of the Golden Bridge. It would be near impossible to escape him, thus Loki knew he had to disable him.

Heimdall roared as the venom blinded his eyes and entered his mouth and nose, burning his ultra sensitive senses.

Loki rushed past him and looked ahead. This was way beyond anything he has experienced. The Asgardians are always making war with the armies of Jotunn giants, with the ice giants of Niflheim, or the fire demons of Myspelheim. But nothing comes close to this.

Suddenly loud noises came nearly simultaneously from both the north and the south. The the flaming giant demon Surtur and his demonic forces poured out of fiery Muspelheim while at the same time, the gigantic ice giant Ymir and his army of ice giants poured out of the icy Niflheim.

Loki could see the panicked faces of the Asgardians, and also the confused faces of Hel and the giants of Jotunn. Both fire and ice forces attacked indiscriminately, killing both the defending Asgardians as well as the attacking forces of Loki's sons.

He heard Thor roar as he charged towards Fenrir, but was intercepted by Jormungandr the World Serpent. He was so huge, his full body was not even in the battlefield, only his head and a part of his body could be seen. But even his head and a small part of his body already covered a quarter of the battlefield extending beyond eyesight.

In one clash, Thor was thrown deep into Asgard, smashing buildings as he was crashed through them. At the same time, Jormungandr's head was smashed into the mountains nearby, tilting the whole continent of Asgard by a few degrees, causing everyone to stumble like sailors on a boat in the middle of a heavy storm.

Thor stood up and summoned all his godly might. With every ounce of strength he had and imbuing Mjolnir his magic hammer with all the power of lightning he could muster, he threw his hammer at Jormungandr, who had recovered and was charging at Thor.

The hammer smashed through Jormungandr's head killing him instantly. But Jormungandr's momentum brought his body crashing down onto Asgard smashing Thor as well as countless gods that were around him crushing them with his enormous body. It was uncertain if Thor survived it, as there was no movement from the rubble.

Loki who was still running on the rainbow bridge, suddenly stopped. Another of his sons, Joemungandr had been killed.

Suddenly Loki's son Fenrir, the giant wolf, roared in anger and opened his mouth and swallowed Odin, the Ruler of Asgard, and Loki's step-father.

As Fenrir chomped down, blood spurted out of his mouth, and a shockwave spread outwards buffeting everyone around with a faint energy.

Everyone suddenly paused and looked, as they knew and felt in their hearts that Odin had died. Loki looked with disbelief.

Suddenly he felt a sharp pain from his chest and looked in shock and surprise at the sword that exited his chest as he vomited blood

“You've gone too far this time Loki. You've brought doom to us all. Your evil will never again infect Asgard!” said Heimdall with satisfaction as he whispered in Loki's ear.

Heimdall was still blinded and incapacitated by the venom, but his supernatural senses still allowed him to function better than most Gods.

He placed his foot on Loki's back and pulled his sword out, leaving Loki in a prone position as he raised his sword to behead him.

As he chopped his sword down, Loki felt his body being shoved hard out of the way, causing him to roll to the edge of the Rainbow bridge, nearly falling off.

He looked up limply in surprise only to see his wife Sigyn cleaved in half by Heimdall's sword as she pushed him to safety.

Loki should feel rage at the brutal killing of his wife. However, he felt nothing, just cold detachment.

Heimdall wiped his eyes in shock, realizing that he killed the wrong person.

"That's another life that you are to answer for" roared Heimdall as he charged at Loki

Loki stared at Heimdall, then back at the battle. Fenrir was already killed by several Gods. Hela was standing aside, absorbing all the death. At the end, she always wins doesn’t she?

Loki smiled wryly and voluntarily rolled his fatally wounded body off the Rainbow Bridge to certain death, not giving Heimdall the pleasure of killing him.

Heimdall stared at the disappearing figure of Loki in fury as he spat at him and roared in anger.

Loki simply laughed madly to himself as he tumbled backwards, down the world tree. After what seemed like eternity, his fall came to an abrupt halt as his body smashed into a body of water at the root of the world tree.

Although every bone in his body was shattered and his body was no more than a mess of flesh and bone, his mind suddenly opened to endless knowledge and wisdom. "This is Mimir, the spring of knowledge and wisdom? I've always wanted to come here, but it's a forbidden site by Odin. How ironic and pointless now that I am dying" thought Loki as his bloody body mixed with the water.

Moments later everything went dark.

Chapter 3 - Altering Destiny

Loki manipulated the strings of fate and found that he could reincarnate as anyone he wished. However, who did he know that was not fro...
